|Helping people with a prison/jail record or history, a person
with or without means of support, a person simply needing
help finding an address.
|Why these people need help?
People will always make some bad life choices and some will
Men and women that go to jail or prison will serve time but will eventually
be back on the street again. Once out you would think it would be easy for
someone to resume a normal life again but that doesn't happen!
Most people had little guidance before getting in trouble and now have
even less help when back on the street. Many become homeless because
they couldn't find even minimum help.
Things we read frequently see in letters from people who manage to

We provide a residence, clothes/shoes, guidance and transportation to
employment within the growing town of Conroe, TX.
We have individual trailers for 7 men at the moment, to promote quicker
transition. Christian values are displayed but not forced on anyone.
The MOUM is about helping one and another while here. Many of the
residents possess varied and useful talents and we plan on putting them to
good use. Society and government wants little to do with people who have a
prison record but all they really need is just a little help. We're trying to fill
the gap. The goal of MOVING ON UP is to help as many men as possible get
back on their feet and become useful again.
|We believe anyone can improve their situation with a strong desire to do so
and a supportive place to do it in!
We are not affiliated with any particular church or government organization
and are not pressured by outside groups. People have a right to make up
their own minds about their future and should be encouraged to do so.
Helping is easy and painless. Check it out and help today. Watch how God
continues to bless those who bless others less fortunate.

|A person getting out of prison or jail will need a lot of help after the first few days upon
release. Usually family or friends aren't there to help out and before you know it more ill
advised choices were made, sometimes not the best ones either.
Government help services are limited.
Agencies usually take days, weeks or months
before providing any assistance.
Next, homeless shelters which are usually
full, will ask for money to stay a night at a time
and offer little long term help.
Those who really want to change for the better just need a little basic assistance, such as
shelter, food and some honest guidance. Without another chance the tax payers will wind up
picking up the tab again for jail time for something that could have been avoided in the first
|Moving On Up Ministry is located 8 miles from the city of Conroe, TX, and
about 40 miles north of Houston, TX. This location is country like and away
from a big city that could cause more problems. People getting out are usually
given clean shoes and clothes that were left behind or donated to the
prison/jail. Good enough to get them somewhere when starting from scratch.
Men who are accepted here must follow simple rules, have a desire to make it
with GODS help and become a useful citizen again. A person will be given
every opportunity to succeed, if the rules aren't followed he will be asked to
leave. We want anyone staying here to feel part of the big picture and not feel
like a loser. If you want to help a few good people succeed then help us make
